The Tadpole Project brings advanced solutions and comprehensive family building counseling to the Naval Special Warfare community.
Members of this community face challenging warfare demands and operational tempo that can affect fertility and family building including environmental exposures and general warfare risks, as well as frequent separations from partners and families.
The TADPOLE Project provides awareness, education, mentorship and resource support as well as access our free cryopreservation program for active duty members of the community.
The TADPOLE Project is supported by our Founding Funder, the SEAL Family Foundation.

NSW Male Cryo Preservation Program
Through our private sector partner, Legacy, MFBC is offering free sperm cryopreservation for male NSW active duty members.
The NSW Legacy free package includes:
· Clinical-grade fertility analysis of one sperm sample, including volume, count, concentration, motility, and morphology
· Next-day shipping. One Legacy kit with overnight shipping to your home, and priority overnight shipping to the lab.
· Personalized recommendations. Data-driven lifestyle recommendations to maximize your fertility, based on your nutrition and exercise habits, and any unique circumstances you share.
· Virtual appointment with a male fertility specialist. Access to a confidential 1:1 conversation to discuss your results and your fertility questions and concerns.
· Cryogenic storage for 1 year. You'll benefit from Legacy's unique multi-tank, multi-site storage to ensure your samples stay protected until you need them.
· Your partner can access your results and book a call with a fertility specialist on your behalf.

NSW Family Building Support Program
Our team provides education, support and tools for navigating family building for all active duty members of Naval Special Warfare.
We know that family building challenges are made more complicated by military life - and so is understanding what care is available and how to access it. Our Family Building Program offers highly personalized support from members of the NSW community and a holistic approach to getting care and staying mentally and financially fit.

Critical to our success in providing services to the NSW community is collecting data and PII-protected stories about the reality of family building challenges in the military.

Legacy Preservation Project x NSW
- Our first-of-its-kind partnership with LEGACY:
Legacy’s philanthropic offer to NSW operators (including SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewman and Explosive Ordnance Demolition personnel) gives military members free access to Legacy’s privacy-protected, at-home sperm testing with one year of complimentary cryopreservation service.
Legacy also offers a military discount to all military members.
Thanks to the support of the SEAL Family Foundation - the Military Family Building Coalition is able to offer this incredible program to members of Naval Special Warfare. The cornerstone of the SEAL Family Foundation mission is taking care of NSW families while they protect the rest of ours and supporting the TADPOLE Project has become an important offering to NSW warriors and families.
